Support Groups

It isn't easy to face vision loss alone. It helps to have emotional support, guidance, and someone to lend an ear. Our Social Worker is available to help you through the adjustment process and share information about skills and resources.

You may also join a support group and meet with others who are learning to cope with their vision loss. It helps to meet people who have successfully adjusted to vision loss and live as independently as they are able.

Our Social Worker can identify the times and locations of support group meetings, as well as social, recreational, and educational organizations for people who are visually impaired.
