Computer Training
The Visually Impaired Center offers computer training for persons who are blind or visually impaired. Learn to use the computer for email, Internet exploration or word processing. We also offer training for the following software and equipment.
Software
Zoomtext - A magnification program that allows the computer user to enlarge objects on the screen to several times their usual size.
JAWS For Windows - A software program that allows individuals with no useable vision to read the contents of the computer screen.
Talking Typing Tutorial - Learn your way around the keyboard and get some basic typing experience with this verbal instructional program.
Equipment
Braille & Speak 2000 - A portable note taker and organizer for persons who use Braille.
